Family PACT Provider Trainings

Each learning track contains the trainings designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the Family PACT Program and tailored modules specific to the four clinic roles: Site Certifier, Clinician, Non-Clinician, or Administrator. See the chart below. 

  • Site certifiers are required to complete the Family PACT trainings and attend the Provider Orientation every two (2) years.
  • Clinicians and all other clinic staff are required to complete the Family PACT trainings every five (5) years.

All staff who will be certifying client eligibility and/or rendering family planning services on behalf of the Family PACT Program must complete all trainings in their respective track prior to submitting an application for the Family PACT Program.


  

Comprehensive IUD and Contraceptive Implant Insertion Trainings

The Office of Family Planning (OFP) hosts free comprehensive IUD and contraceptive implant insertion trainings to assist providers in offering long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) services to Family PACT clients. Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits are available. All Medi-Cal providers in good standing are eligible to attend this training.
